My Albums List

I'll keep it short.

These are some amazing albums that I have listened to in the past, and I can still listen to today. You may notice that they're from the mid 2000's or so. 2005 and such. That was definitely a time of exploration for me. I've sort of stopped listening to music within the past few/four years because I don't have the money to afford buying albums and I hate stealing music. I've recently started picking it all back up again (new music). But here it is! I love and cherish the art of these albums.

Each album will have a short description about it and/or a reason why I love it. Enjoy!

Switchfoot - The Beautiful Letdown
I listened and contemplated this album for weeks. The message is so powerful. I love this album because it's not just "I love you Jesus!!! And I don't need nobody but you, so screw this world!!! Bye haters!!!" LOL. No, this album really deals with the noise that the world makes (humankind's falleness, their issues, etc.), and with being human. Our blemishes, mistakes, everything. And yet it also focuses on who we can still be/should've been: beautiful, pure, forgiven human beings that honor God. I can seriously listen to EVERY track!

Hillsong United - All of the Above
I never get tired of this album because I LOVE how United is beginning to incorporate personal and social stuff together. It's not just a personal faith without the social justice stuff. And it is not just social justice stuff without the personal stuff. Ultimately this album talks about trusting and depending on God through everything (personal and social).

Damien Rice - O
Album that I listened to SEVERAL years ago during a heartbreak. :) Man it was bad that's all I gotta say. I can listen to EVERY track on this album and it related to the situation. Crazy huh! So glad that I'm not in that mess anymore... but whenever I listen to this CD again I smile becuz of the memories and then I jam cuz of the amazing music.

Hillsong United - United We Stand
The first album that started it all. I know everyone knows the lyrics and songs by heart. But the meaning and lyrics are so lovely and really do honor the King. Beautiful CD.

Brooke Fraser - Albertine
This album has me written all over it. Kind of strage but I love it. I can listen to every track. She is an AMAZING artist.

Starfield - Beauty in the Broken

Lauryn Hill - The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill

Kirk Franklin - Hero

Rachael Yamagata - Happenstance

Alicia Keys - the Element of Freedom

Joss Stone - Introducing... Joss Stone

Drake - Thank Me Later

And I'll add more as time goes on. ;)
