New inspiration

I've just found a new inspiration to paint, to see the world, to compisition-ize. I love it. The lush colors, artwork, format/layout of these pieces are captivating and beautiful. Just beautiful. Twistedly beautiful. I hope to do something like this for--and to capture something of Minneapolis and possibly Saint Paul one day. But of course, in my preferred expression and/or medium. :) Here I come!!! (Which is soon-ish ;))

This original diptych by New Orleans artist Rebecca Rebouche was created for our new Canal Place store (Anthropologie). Produced in painterly bursts at various locations throughout the city, the imagery captures the hallmarks of life in New Orleans—those little things that tug at the heartstrings and are as individual as fingerprints to any place that one calls home.
