I will never be able to afford these, but I like the style. I need to buy a sewing machine and make my own clothes anyway. One day. =)

One more week...
One more week until Los Angeles! BWAAAAAH! I am SO excited. I can't really contain it. And today I am just utterly and desperately waiting to listen to Brooke Fraser's new CD... it will be the equivalence of my ears salivating with musical pleasure... can't wait. :DDD And speaking of LA, I will probably update everyday since we'll have so much time (and not a lot of money lol) on our hands! Wooo! ;))) X)))))) :DDDD !!!!

Art....
Here are some of the pieces that I have been doing this semester. The classes are definitely pushing my mind and breaking me out of the box. But looking at all of these pieces are so rewarding. Have fun!
Drawing 1
Gesture drawing, graphite
Blind contour drawing, graphite
Contour drawing, graphite
Negative space, pressed charcoal
Gesture drawing, graphite
Lines to help draw (not grid drawing though), charcoal - work is incomplete
Gesture drawing (the lines-to-help-draw drawing of this gesture drawing will be uploaded next week), graphite
Subtractive value drawing with charcoal but and eraser was used to make the drawing - incomplete work
Thumbnail drawings of still life with thin vine charcoal
Additive value drawing of the bottom left thumbnail drawing. Made with thin vine charcoal - incomplete work
Design 1
(This one is definitely harder of the two classes)
Objective: Line. Design one hundred different lines with one black permanent marker.
Objective: Geometric shapes. Use primary geometric (square, circle, triangle) shapes to design an organic/natural still life, touching all four sides, with a border, with graphite.
Objective: balance and symmetry/asymmetry. Design an asymmetrical but balanced piece only with horizontal and vertical lines in a 16x16 box, with any choice/as many choices of different black inks.
Objective: unity. Design a unified piece with organic leaves and at least 3 different colored construction papers, with a border.
